William Barnett Lewis, 99, of West Hartford, the husband of Ruth M. (Connolly) Lewis, died Thursday Feb. 4, 2010. Born in Meriden, the son of the late Walter and Alice (Barnett) Lewis, he was a graduate of Meriden High School and had resided in West Hartford the past 59 years. Bill worked as a Standards Engineer for the former Pratt & Whitney Small Tool in West Hartford. He was a former member of West Hartford Civitan Club serving as its' Treasurer and Chaplin for over 25 years. He was a member of the Standards Engineer Society, and was an active bowler and golfer. Private funeral arrangements were handled by the Molloy Funeral Home, West Hartford. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Mercy Retirement Fund, 55 East Cedar St. Newington, CT 06111.
