Jean (Kowalczyk) Patania, 96, began her eternal life with Jesus on August 27, 2010. She was born in Meriden, the daughter of Stephan and Mary Ann Kowalczyk. She was married 50 years to Frank Patania who predeceased her and they resided in West Hartford. Jean worked for Royal Typewriter in Hartford for 30 years. She has one surviving daughter Connie Patania of West Hartford and one sister Steffie Klinkiewicz of San Diego, CA and several nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave, West Hartford on Friday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. Molloy Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
