Robert Green, 87, of Bloomfield, beloved husband of the late Marion Green passed away peacefully, Friday February 26, 2010 at Hebrew Home and Hospital in West Hartford. Born in New Haven the son of the late Morris and Minnie Green, he served as a Technical Sgt. during WWII. He was the Dean of the UCONN School of Social Work for many years. A generous man some of his best memories were of Thanksgiving meals at his home and later his condo, where 30 members of the family would gather. A loving father Robert is survived by his beloved son Alan S. Green of Simsbury, whom he taught to fish, bowl, and play baseball. Robert treasured his time in his flower and vegetable gardens, vacations on Cape Cod, and travel to Europe and Hawaii with his wife Marion. Private burial will take place in Mountain View Cemetery in Bloomfield with military honors. Molloy Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
